Susquehanna Valley CASA Volunteer Training
Susquehanna Valley CASA – Voices for Children’s mission is to assist the courts in determining what is in the best interest of abused and/or neglected children whose cases are in the court system. Through objective investigation and observation, with the focus on the child, a highly-trained CASA Volunteer will develop and present their recommendations to the courts which aids in establishing a safe, permanent and nurturing home.
CASA Volunteers are trained citizens (age 21 or older) from all walks of life (educators, business professionals, health care professionals, parents, grandparents, lawyers etc.) who share a common passion and belief that all children deserve a safe, permanent, loving, and nurturing home.
We currently have over 230 abused and neglected children in our community on a waiting list for a CASA Volunteer. This could be the most important contribution you have ever made to your community, and to the life of a child...ever. Please share this information with your friends, family, coworkers, and social media connections! Become a CASA Volunteer, call us today: 570-988-2200.
