Hello friends of CASA,
Please join us in honoring the vulnerable children we advocate for on a daily basis. These children find themselves in the court systems of Lycoming, Northumberland, Snyder and Union counties through no fault of their own. They struggle every day to feel secure and safe in their environment. A CASA volunteer provides the consistency of an adult who remains with them no matter what. Our volunteers are highly trained citizens from many walks of life who dedicate their time and hearts to ensure that these children grow to be the best young adults they can be. These volunteer “angels” remain involved in their children’s lives until their cases are resolved in the court system, and many will stay close indefinitely. They investigate the circumstances bringing these children into the system, gather objective information, and submit this information in a comprehensive report to the judges, enabling them to make the best and most informed decisions regarding these children’s futures. Volunteers and their CASA children spend time together building a trusting relationship, something that is very difficult for a child who has grown up abused and neglected.
Your support on Giving Tuesday helps us to continue recruiting, training and supervising these volunteers while they dedicate their hearts to these children. If you are interested in donating to this worthy cause, please see and click on the “DONATE” button above at the top of the page.
We are also searching for volunteers to take up this cause. Please email Yvonne Heatley at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 570-651-2275 for more information on becoming a CASA volunteer.
